The Adventure Begins

What started as literally a dream, lit a fire within my soul. This fire enticed me to move way outside my comfort zone and do more than fanfiction. This first story is stemmed from the little I can recall of a dream I had in high school (approximately three seconds of the dream) and has developed a life of its own in the form of "From the Black." The science fiction story features a young author who leads a peaceful life on the outskirts of a small town in the United States. His life is turned upside-down one summer evening with what seemed to be a simple eathquake. Only, it wasn't so simple.
